The Intellection Group, Inc., is located in the Atlanta, GA metro area and specializes in custom extranet development.
The company has many happy clients in North America and Europe. We work in many different industries and vertical markets.
We have carved out a niche as a custom developer of unique web-based applications (extranets) We are also creating state-of-the-art
applications utilizing voice recognition, text-to-speech, natural language understanding and
RFID/GPS technologies running in a distributed server environment supporting wireless handheld devices. Recently, we received a patent on our
technology architecture which, in turn, is generating a high level of interest in large-scale real-world applications that take advantage of our
approach and methodology. A huge market exists for these applications, and we intend to be a market leader.
We need help, now!
We need to free up our chief technical person to do more marketing, networking, writing, speaking and selling. Thus, a lot of the day-to-day technical
work needs to become the responsibility of a new full-time employee.
We have an immediate need for a motivated, energetic, self-starter to hit the ground running and who wants to work with a new small company experiencing
“hockey-stick” growth. This is a one-of-a-kind ground-floor opportunity to take part in an endeavor where the sky’s the limit.
The person filling this position will be wearing a lot of hats and must have top organizational and communication skills and be able to juggle a lot of different
kinds of tasks. This is definitely a growth position for the right person.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage to completion all day-to-day technical tasks and projects
- Manage and provide leadership and mentoring to our technical staff
- Establish and manage all procedures and processes in support of our development, deployment and R&D activities
- Work directly with clients as needed to effect positive task and project outcomes
- Some software development
- Some quality assurance and documentation work
- Some web site maintenance
- Some R&D and miscellaneous technical tasks
- Some work relating to sales, marketing and proposal writing
Required skills:
- Great people skills; demonstrated experience in dealing with customers and developers from a distance
- Great communication skills, both written and oral; demonstrated ability to write and speak clearly
- Expert Internet researcher
- Advanced software development experience with Microsoft development technologies (Visual FoxPro, Visual Basic, VB.NET, C#.NET, ASP.NET)
- Advanced experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX
- Advanced SQL Server 2000/2005 knowledge
- One or more Microsoft technical certification(s) (MCP, MCSD, MCDBA, MCSE, MCAD, etc.) is highly desirable
- Ability to work effectively from home (broadband connection, developer-level PC hardware, etc.)
- Ability to work with minimal direction
